2024 Certified Diversity Executive (CDE)®

The Certified Diversity Executive (CDE)® credential is designed to help you to maximize diversity of thought in this 21st century knowledge + experience economy. You will also be empowered to manage a global or large-scale initiative, as well as revolutionize equity and inclusive excellence at your organization. 

Please note: this form is for CDE® registrants in the Americas program. If you are in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa or Asia Pacific, you may find our EMEA+APAC program better fits your schedule. It begins at 10:00 CET (4am ET).

You may only use one code at a time. Select from one of the following:

• Promo Code: MEMBER - Current and new Society members save 20% when enrolling in the certification program. Simply enter MEMBER in the Promo Code field and hit "apply" for the 20% discount. Current members will have another year added onto their membership.
• Promo Code: GROUP - Groups of 3 or more get 30% off the regular cost of certification. Candidates may submit separate applications at different times or mix and match CDP® and CDE® credentials. All Candidates in the Group will receive a FREE 1-year membership to the Society for Diversity.

A Candidate’s application to the CDE® examination is an attestation that the Candidate has met and complies with the Certification Eligibility Requirements. IDC reserves the right to verify any and all information that is listed in a Candidate’s application. 

Note: IDC’s preparatory course and/or materials are NOT a requirement for this examination or certification. IDC's materials are not the only method to prepare for the certification exam.

CDE® Certification Eligibility Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience
• A current leadership role
• A passing score on the CDE® examination (which is at least 74.0%)
• A passing score on a Candidate Project or an approved professional work
• Compliance with IDC’s Code of Ethics
• Compliance with Standard of Practice
• Compliance with IDC’s Candidate Handbook

Lifelong learning is an important component of strategic DEIA work. Designees are required to complete 60 continuing education units every 3 years. Participating in our membership program is a great way to find and participate in learning opportunities!

Membership fees for 2024 are outlined below:
 - Individuals: Professional $345, Retiree $173. Student $173
 - Groups: Group (3-10 people) $2,500, Corporate (up to 25 people) $12,500, Enterprise (3 options; inquire for details) $50,000+
